This is another song which also has actions. How many types of action songs can you think of? Try to make a list of five such songs and try to identify what the differences are between them and what the purpose of each song might be.

Viewing tasks

1. How does Simon introduce this song to the class? How does he try to grab their attention?

2. Trace the "story" of the song to see how it changes between the beginning and the end?

3. What language skills does a song like this practise?

Questions for discussion

Take one or more of the songs you thought about under the heading previewing tasks and prepare it for use in class. Then try it out to see if it worked the way you expected.
