About the project behind the English in Action web pages

English in Action is based on a selection of  recordings made during the spring of 2002 in Birralee International School, Trondheim.

I would like to thank the school and the parents of pupils in grade 7 for their permission to make these recordings.

I am also very grateful to Simon Thompson, the class teacher, for taking part in this project with characteristic enthusiasm and  energy at a time when, as acting head of the school, he had more than enough to think about.

But most of all I would like to thank Anniken, Bernhard, Christoffer, Erik, Eva, Frederik, Isobel, Joachim, Kari Elise, Kristian, Lai, Siv, Tangni and Tind.

None of them have English as their first language. As you will see, English is a subject which offers them challenges and experiences which they enjoy. It was fun being with them and getting to know them. I hope you will enjoy that as much as I did!
