| We started our correspondance with the
school in the middle of February. By the end of the month we got a reply
from our contact person. She wrote that she had arranged for us to mail
with Grade 6 students. We answered this mail by introducing ourselves.
A week later we recieved mails from two girls. They wrote quite a bit about themselves and what it is like to live in Newfoundland. Heres a few qoutations:
"Newfoundlands climate is generaly a cold
one, but it can get very warm in the summer. The warmest it gets in the
summer is about 15'c and the coldest that it gets in the winter is about
10'c. Since we are so close to the ocean, we get mild winters and summers.
The ocean is also what gives us all the fog we get. The Labrador Current
and the Gulf Stream mix to make lots of fog and fish come to the coast
to Newfoundland.
These are the only two mails we have received. We sent them two mails after this, asking for more information about Newfoundland, and telling them to mail us some questions about Norway. We also told them a bit about what Oslo is like at this time of the year. Since we have only received the two letters, we believe that they may have had some problems with their computers. We are sorry this didn't work out as intended. Update:
